Veterans Workforce Program

You served our country and now we are here to help you with your workforce quest.  We are dedicated to the recognition of and delivery of services to veterans.  Veterans are identified at the point of entry to the center and are given priority over non-veterans with respect to all Department of Labor funded programs and services.  All CareerSource Southwest Florida staff members are empowered to develop employment opportunities with employers to improve employment outcomes for targeted Veterans.

  • Priority, in the context of providing priority of service to covered persons in qualified job training programs , means the right to take precedence over non-covered persons in obtaining services.
  • Depending on the type of service or resource being provided, taking precedence may mean:
    • The covered person receives access to the service or resource earlier in time than the non-covered person.
    • If the service or resource is limited, the covered person receives access to the service or resource instead of or before the non-covered person.

You may want to meet with CareerSource Southwest Florida staff for applicable eligibility requirements for specific training opportunities.
Please identify yourself as a Veteran or Eligible Spouse to our staff.
