Summary

This program provides youth, ages 14-24, who are out of school with access to education and employment opportunities. All resources are grant funded which means that applicants must qualify prior to been approved for tuition and education assistance. To get started, please browse and read the resources below that covers the program in more details and how to apply for the Destination Careers Youth program. Applicants can apply online and create an account on employflorida to begin the onboarding process prior to meeting with an assigned case manager. In School Youth Program

The In-School Youth (ISY) program is a federally funded program that provides employment and training services to eligible low-income students who are currently attending school. The program is administered by the Department of Labor and aims to help young people gain work experience, develop new skills, and transition into the workforce.

The program provides a range of services including career exploration, job training, tutoring, mentoring, work experience, and support services such as transportation and child care. These services are designed to help students succeed in school and prepare them for post-secondary education or entry into the labor market.

Out-Of- School-Program:

The OSY program offers a variety of services, including education and training programs, job search assistance, career counseling, and support services such as transportation and child care. These services are designed to help young people who may face significant barriers to employment, such as low-income, homelessness, or a lack of education or job skills.

Job Corp:

The program is designed to provide young people with a supportive environment that fosters personal and career development. Participants receive hands-on training and education, earn industry-recognized credentials, and gain valuable work experience through internships and apprenticeships.

TRAINING APPLICATION PROCESS

The WIOA Adult program is for individuals over the age of 18 who are unemployed or employed, that also meet one of the following criteria: Veteran or eligible spouse, low income or receiving public assistance, basic skills deficient, homeless, or below the local self-sufficiency wage (200% of the federal poverty level). If you are determined eligible for this program, we can provide you with individualized services to help you either find a job or receive training through one of our eligible training providers. If you are interested in applying for assistance through WIOA, you need to complete the online WIOA Request for Services form.
