Committees

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

  • Serves as Nominating Committee to provide a slate of officers for Board consideration
  • Conducts an annual performance review of the Executive Director

FINANCE COMMITTEE

  • Reviews and presents annual budget to the Board of Directors
  • Reviews financial statements
  • Reviews the audit report as presented by independent audit firm
  • Reviews any other financial matters that need to come before the Board

PROGRAM AND PLANNING COMMITTEE

  • Reviews Workforce Services Plan, Administrative Plan, and others
  • Reviews performance data and summaries as prepared by staff
  • Reviews proposals for services or recommendations from Review Panel
  • Reviews the preliminary Targeted Occupations List (TOL), programs and schools for Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL)

PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE

  • Serves as an advisory Committee to the Board of Directors on organizational outreach, branding and public relations matters
  • Assists in development of concepts, plans, strategies and activities that support, facilitate and otherwise guide the organization’s public relations efforts
  • Increases public and media knowledge of the benefits of our programs and services

SERVICE DELIVERY COMMITTEE

  • Uses monitoring to ensure that both businesses and job seekers advance the economic viability of the region by developing a quality workforce
  • Reviews performance
  • Evaluates Center operations including services, resource rooms, customer service, programs, etc.
  • Assesses budgets including Workforce Investment Act, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Wagner-Peyser, and others
  • Ensures effective marketing and public relations
  • Annually reviews Board membership and attendance records for all members

YOUTH COUNCIL

  • Maps how existing community resources are used in creating a comprehensive set of services available to youth
  • Determines how the provisions of the Workforce Investment Act will enhance and build upon these services
  • Addresses the needs of the youth population as a whole, in school and out of school, and will emphasize the importance of continuing of services
  • Assists in the development of the youth section for the overall master plan
  • Conducts other youth related activities
